Year 3K - African Masks, by Mrs Harris
Date: 23rd Jan 2024 @ 10:05pm
Year 3 enjoyed exploring the different patterns and designs of African Masks. The children then designed a variety of masks using different tools such as pencils, sketching pencils, colouring pencils and oil pastels to create different patterns. After this, the children turned their designs into clay masks, carefully using tools to shape their creation. They all look fantastic! We can't wait to paint them!!
Year 3K 'Stone Age to Iron Age' morning, by Mrs Harris
Date: 23rd Jan 2024 @ 9:45pm
Year 3 have had a fun filled 'Stone Age to Iron Age' morning! The children have enjoyed learning about the different roles people had during the Stone Age, Iron Age and Bronze Age. They worked in groups to act out different scenes as 'freeze frames' and we worked together to guess which period of history they were from. Some excellent work as I'm sure you can see!!
Unfortunately, our 'Stone Age' workshop with Past Productions was cancelled this morning due to illness. However, no need to worry! We will be rearranging for a later date (to be confirmed) 😊😊😊
Royal Navy visit with Year 6, by Mrs Harris
Date: 16th Jan 2024 @ 9:42pm
On Friday, Wiggy and Kayleigh from the Royal Navy visited school. The day began with an informative presentation about the roles and responsibilities within the Royal Navy and the children were given the opportunity to ask questions. In the afternoon, the children took part in a 'Flarebox' workshop where they learnt about the use of flares and then they designed their own. Using a rocket launcher, the children then tested their designs on the school playground. We look forward to welcoming the Royal Navy back into school for some more workshops in the Summer Term.

You can do this by joining us at our Advent Mass tomorrow at 9.30am in Our Lady's Church. Thank you for your continued support, Miss Flynn.
