School Opening Hours
Following the recent release of the Department for Education's White Paper. The White Paper sets an expectation that all state-funded mainstream schools will deliver a minimum length of school week of 32 hours and 30 minutes from September 2023 at the latest.
Our Lady and St. Edward's Catholic Primary School Opening Hours:

8:55 a.m. – 3:35 p.m. = 6 hours 40 minutes per day

Weekly total time of 33 hours and 20 minutes
The gates will still open at 8:45 a.m. each morning for children to arrive on site.
At the end of the school day, gates will be unlocked at 3:20 p.m. (Annexe Foundation Building only, to allow parents time to collect siblings in main school) and 3:25 p.m. in main school.
The school day for infants ends at 3:30 p.m., juniors at 3:35 p.m. and Foundation children (without siblings in main school) at 3:30 p.m.
For children in our Annexe Foundation Building, the gates will be locked at 9:00 a.m., children arriving after this time will have to enter school via the Annexe office.
The 32.5 hour minimum expectation includes the time in each day from the official start of the school day (morning registration) to the official end to the compulsory school day. The 32.5 hour minimum includes breaks and lunch times as well as teaching time. It does not include optional before or after school provision
