Today, Year 6 took part in a live online Science lesson which was all about the Moon and Space. We watched scientists make comets out of mud, water, soy sauce and dry ice ☄️ and listened to a Q and A with Professor Brian Cox. We then designed our own space shuttles

Heidi and Orla (Y3) for receiving a new belt in their martial arts grading!

Mae (Y4) who played in 2 games of Netball at the weekend and got coaches player both times!

Nathan (Y6) for receiving his Level 4 swimming certificate!

The Holy Rosary - Y3K, by Mrs Harris

October marks the month of the Holy Rosary. The children are invited to pray a decade of the Rosary each day. Year 3RK enjoyed creating their own rosary crafts to use during prayer.

Year 6 - World Comic Book Day, by Mrs Harris

This week was World Comic Book Day. Whilst the rest of the year group was away on residential, we learnt about how comic books have changed over the years and researched famous comic book writers such as Stan Lee. We created our own comic book character, sketched what they would look like and coloured them using bold colours - inspired by Pop Art artists of that time. Once we had designed our character we then used clay to make models of them. We can't wait to paint them when they finally dry!

The sunshine fun continues! We loved making our ice creams in the last of the sun! ⛅️Most of us loved them, but some of us weren't so sure in the taste! 🍦🍦

The Sunshine room has had another week filled with fun and smiles! We are all working so hard during carpet time, singing all the emotions we could be feeling! You all have amazing surprised faces! We have been making towers and making lots of mess during our sensory times! We just love water play with lots of bubbles.

What a busy busy day!

After breakfast we went straight our morning activities, followed by lunch.

We then split off into our second activity for the day and warmed up with dinner!

This evening we have packed, taken part in a nature walk and a games night!

Y3 Cave Art, by Mrs Harris

Year 3 have been looking at a range of cave art designs from the Stone Age. They have been wondering why it was so important for people in the Stone Age to use cave art, why people from the Stone Age produce drawings on caves and how they would have created them.

The children then thought about things they feel are important to them and expressed these on their own rocks. Take a look, they are fantastic!
