Mr. Potato Head Challenge, by Mrs Harris

Date: 28th Jan 2025 @ 9:42pm

๐ŸŒŸAs you will all be aware, we work very hard to promote good attendance at school. Therefore, as promised in our Newsletter............ we have a new challenge for our pupils - The Mr. Potato Head Challenge! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿฅ”Every week we will look at each class's attendance and if the children have achieved over 96% attendance as a class, they will be able to add TWO accessories to their Mr. Potato Head.

๐Ÿฅ”If a class achieve 100% attendance for the week, they will receive 'Double Bubble' and be able to add FOUR accessories to their Mr. Potato Head!!

๐Ÿฅ”The children will name their class potato in preparation for our challenge and we can't wait to see the competitiveness of the children (and staff) growing each day!

๐Ÿฅ”Keep your eyes (and potatoes) peeled for further updates on each class's progress!

Earth Day 2024 - 22 April, by Mrs Harris

Date: 21st Apr 2024 @ 9:39pm

Earth Day 2024

๐ŸŒŽ Earth Day is marked on 22 April each year. The very first Earth Day was held in the USA in 1970, in response to a spill from an oil tanker. It has since grown to become and global event, during which as many as 1 billion people around the world mark the need for action on the environment and living sustainably

๐ŸŒŽ The theme for Earth Day 2024 is 'Planet vs. Plastics'

๐ŸŒŽ To celebrate Earth Day, we will take part in activities to encourage us all to think and learn about what we can do to look after our planet

Small steps to help save our planet:

๐ŸŒŽ reduce use of plastic and avoid single-use plastic

๐ŸŒŽ walk or cycle to school if possible

๐ŸŒŽ recycle

๐ŸŒŽ turn off lights when not in use

๐ŸŒŽ use less water

I'll upload some photos of how we learned to help by the end of the week ๐Ÿ‘
