F2 - Thematic Photographs, by Miss Ward

Date: 21st Sep 2020 @ 6:49pm

Dear Parents and Carers,

Next week in our Thematic work, our topic is ‘What do you know about me?’. Within this topic the children will be looking at how they have changed since they were a baby/toddler to them now. To support this topic we would like a photograph of your child as a baby or toddler so we can use them within our work.

As we are unable to ask you to bring the photos in to school, we are asking for you to email them to us and we can print them for your child to use within their thematic work.

Please could you email your photos to f2class1@ourlady-saintedwards.wirral.sch.uk by Friday 25th September and put the subject of the email as your child’s name. This email address is only for sending photographs and any other communication should be passed through the school office.

F2LW had a wonderful time at Church Farm yesterday!

We then went to the Hen House and collected lots of eggs followed by holding some rabbits and guinea pigs. We learnt so much about the farm and are excited to continue our learning in the upcoming weeks.

F2 - Healthy Bodies and Healthy Minds Week, by Miss Ward

This week, we have been learning about how to keep our bodies and our minds healthy. We talked about what foods are healthy and unhealthy, then we each made a healthy fruit kebab using a repeated pattern for snack time. They were very tasty!

We also looked at how to keep our minds healthy by using our 'Zones of Regulation Chart', this helped us to look at  our different emotions and how to deal with them. We then participated in some breathing exercises and yoga which helped us feel very calm and relaxed. We have had a lovely week learning all about how to stay healthy!

F2 - Rainforest Posters, by Miss Ward

On Friday we invited Year 1 to come over to our classrooms to share what we have learnt with them. The children had a fantastic time telling Year 1 about their learning and showing their work to them.
