Year 6 - Mini Pathfinders
Year 6, Miss Barron's class have enjoyed working alongside the C.E.L.L.S project, hearing from ex offenders and people who have been affected by crime but who have now turned their lives around.
Year 6 joined in workshops and discussed important messages about their choices that could affect their future.
The children also enjoyed looking around a mock prison cell and taking part in a mock court case ????????

What an awesome week Miss Barron's class have had, thanks so much to #minipathfinders, #TEAMBEB and #wirralpolice
The activities have been led by Merseyside Police and partners to provide information to Year 6 about preventing offending in the future and making positive life decisions around Anti-social Behaviour, lifestyle choices, such as exercise and food, road safety and cyber safety.
We ended the week with an awards session with certificates and cups presented by Police Officers present in school during Mini Pathfinders ???

Today, the children engaged with a session on how to administer first aid and learn basic lifesaving skills. They improved their knowledge around first aid and had the opportunity to demonstrate CPR!!

Anti-Bullying Week - Year 6
Year 6 have spent time exploring the different forms of bullying and ways that we can prevent it from happening. They looked at this year's theme 'Reach Out' and created informative posters to illustrate ways in which we can support others

Year 6 Pathfinder - Day 3
Yesterday, Miss Houghton’s Class enjoyed a visit from Gautby Road community centre. Gautby Road is home to over 60 reptiles from snakes to spiders to stick insects. We are so impressed with how brave all the children were (and staff)!
All children were given leaflets with different clubs they can attend at Gautby Road.

Yesterday afternoon Miss Houghton’s class enjoyed a session learning about the dangers and risks of Loan Sharks. We even had a visit from Sid the Shark! There is a competition that we are entering with Amazon vouchers up for grabs! The poster that wins but inform adults about the risks of loan sharks and where to get help.

Year 6 Pathfinders - Miss Houghton’s Class
Children have enjoyed a morning participating in a Level 1 First Aid Course. Children learnt about different emergency services and when to call different services. Children also learnt how to perform CPR, how to save a person when choking and how to call 999. It was a very important session, all children listened and participated well.
Certificates will be given out at the end of the week.

Year 6 Pathfinders!
Miss Houghton’s class have enjoyed their first day of pathfinders today, working alongside Merseyside police. We played a board game this morning thinking about making the right choices and what the consequences can be of making the wrong choices.
This afternoon we then participated in a number of sports including: tennis, boxing and football. It’s been a full filled first day!

Year 6 had a fantastic day at Manley Mere! All the children got involved and challenged themselves, they should be proud! All the staff and children had a fun packed day.

Wow! What a great two days we have had at Tranmere Rovers participating in Wirral Deen Centre's 'We Are One' tournaments!
Our Year 6 girls came 2nd overall. Our Year 4/5 mixed team came 1st!!!
A massive well done to all children involved, it was great to see their positive attitude, teamwork and respect for others shine through!

Year 6 have enjoyed a taste of Mexico this afternoon. They have tried some tasty savoury food from tortillas, salsa, guacamole and mexican beans to some sweet cinnamon delights. They washed it all down with a lime sunrise! Year 6 then critiqued the food; describing tastes, smells, textures, likes and dislikes of what they tried.
Girls Easter Football Camp- LFC Foundation, by Miss Flynn

LFC Foundation are delighted to announce that they will be running a Girls Only Easter Football Camp at Solar Campus, the training venue of LFC Women. The camp is open to children aged 4-14 and will run on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th April from 10am-3pm at a cost of £15 per day.

Chester Zoo Trip Year 6
Year 6 have had a fantastic day at Chester zoo in the sunshine ??
We had a great day looking around the zoo at all the animals and exploring different parts of the zoo.
We participated in a rainforest workshop which focused on the impact of deforestation on our planet and we explored various animal skulls, eggs and fur. We even got to create our own animals to live in the rainforest!
We all had a great day!

Years 5 and 6 are enjoying playing a variety of card games such as memory match, higher or lower, Uno and 3 of one, 4 of the other! However, snap definitely seems to bring out our competitiveness!!

Well done to our whole school for taking part in AmaSing's 'Sing for Ukraine' fundraiser!
There were over 10,000 people joining in globally and it was an honour to take part and sing 'Lean On Me' to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

We had a fantastic world book day. All the costumes were amazing!
Children participated in a range of activities including: an illustrator workshop designing their own characters, designing a book voucher token and we shared a range of stories together focusing on diversity and equality.
We all had a great day!
