RSE

RSE is part of the mission of Catholic schools to educate the whole person. It should be carried out as part of the holistic education which seeks to form as well as inform young people in preparation for adult life. Parents are the primary educators of their children, especially when it comes to sensitive topics such as RSE. 

At Our Lady and St Edwards, we use 'Life to the Full' from Ten:Ten to deliver our RSE sessions.

Life to the Full is a Relationships and Health Education curriculum programme underpinned by a Christian faith understanding that our deepest identity is as a child of God – created, chosen and loved by God.

Life to the Full is intended to be a partnership between home, school and church. We hope that our new programme, Life to the Full, will further develop, support and enrich the partnership so that your child is fully supported in their journey.

The programme adopts a spiral curriculum approach, so that as your child goes through the programme year-after-year, the learning will develop and grow, with each stage building on the last.
